For the First Time Ever: Take Your Bronco or Sport on Off-Roadeo Trails

In case you missed the news, there are two historic events happening in early April:

  1. A total solar eclipse taking place on April 8, and
  2. Trail drives at Bronco Off-Roadeo Texas, also on April 8, where Bronco and Sport owners can take their own vehicles out on the private trails for the first time ever –– and on this day only!

The 2024 Total Solar Eclipse

In just a few weeks, hundreds of thousands of visitors will join locals across the U.S. in areas where the total solar eclipse will be visible.

April 8 Total Solar Eclipse Path

Bronco Off-Roadeo Texas, located in Horseshoe Bay, will be in the path of totality. For over four minutes, complete and sudden darkness will blanket the area, followed by a 360-degree sunrise.

Hotels in the area are fully booked, but Bronco and Sport owners have a unique opportunity to secure a place to stay and view the awesome occurrence in one of two ways:

2-Night Camping Experience: April 7-9, 2024:

Owners interested in a multi-day solar eclipse experience are invited to Grey Wolf Ranch – home of Bronco Off-Roadeo Texas – for an exclusive solar eclipse viewing event, five (5) catered meals, private trail drive opportunities at no additional cost, and more!

Campers, who are required bring their own camping accommodations, will have the opportunity to book a guided trail drive with their own Bronco or Bronco Sport on the Bronco Off-Roadeo Texas property. Don’t wait; space for trail drives is limited.

This experience is $1,995 and includes up to 3 additional guests.

Why This Is Something You Should Book

Local senior program coordinator for the Frank N. Bash Visitors Center at McDonald Observatory details the excitement behind this special event: “I have been fortunate to experience two total solar eclipses,” says Judy Meyer, University of Texas at Austin.

“Both of them were wonderful experiences, and something to remember for the rest of my life. I think the real impact of totality is cultural: We humans have lived with the sun as a constant: It rises, and it sets. We know what to expect of it. It is a shock to the system when the sun "goes away," even for a few minutes, in the middle of the day. It reminds us that we don't know everything, and it reminds us of how great Nature can be. The next total solar eclipse whose path crosses the United States will do so in the year 2045. That's a long time to wait. Catch this one if you can.”

Texas Trails

In addition to the solar phenomenon, Bronco and Sport owners get the chance to do something many enthusiasts have asked for and hoped to do –– drive their personal vehicles on private Off-Roadeo trails. On Monday, April 8 only, participants will have the opportunity to follow Bronco Off-Roadeo expert guides throughout the Hill Country trails in their own Bronco or Sport, taking on rock crawling, water crossings, sand, and more.

Certain trims have never graced Off-Roadeo trails, including the Bronco Everglades, Heritage, and Heritage Limited. If you’re like many Bronco fans, you know that being the first – or only – of these models to try Off-Roadeo trails is a pretty cool claim to fame! Don't miss the one-day chance.

And as one more treat, attendees will experience a private reveal of the Bronco Raptor Blackout Package by Ford immediately following the eclipse. Be among the first to see it in person and share pictures in the forums once you do.
