I purchased a 1991 Bronco and immediately found out it had a terrible battery drain. There were several items I knew needed replacing I was hoping one would fix my issue. I was checking the drain with my amp meter. First the original wiper motor barely worked. So I replaced it and then noticed the worn out wiper switch wouldn’t turn it off. I replaced it. The solenoid was original too so I decided after 30 years it could use a new one. The solenoid fixed the battery drain. Went from 8.6 to .41. Then I also notice the ignition switch would hang up sometime. I replaced it and wow what a difference. So for about $100 in parts the Bronco is really doing great. I’m not a mechanic, more of a parts changer but I feel pretty good about it.
