OK, when will the MY change from 2021 to 2022 to receive the bronco? If orders are received after September is that a MY2022?

There's nothing certain until the reservations have been converted to orders and Ford irons out the build schedule.

I haven't heard anything about a definite date when switch over will happen. Hard telling if Ford has any idea when its happening considering all the delays.

There was a September date floating around, but that had only to do with the dealer allocation formula, NOT the model year cutoff. Too many rumors and misinformation out there.

There is no published date for when MY21 ends and MY22 begins. Any date you read regarding that right now is speculation. My guess is they won't announce that date or what all the changes might be until sometime after March 19th.

That date is used as a cutoff point for Ford to gather dealership reservation information. Ford needs to know how many reservations were converted that had dates of 9/19 and sooner. That number will fit into the dealership's allocation formula.
It does not directly determine if you get a MY21 or a MY22.

I think that does read that 2021 allocation will have a timestamp prior to 9/19/20, and therefore to be part of 2021 models it will have to be timestamped prior to 9/19/20. If it is not part of the final 2021 allocation (timestamped prior to 9/19/20) it would have to be part of the 2022 allocation. I think they are using that as part of the formula to project how long the 2021 production runs, possibly to Dec 2021.

If I am not part of 2021, I'm out.

Why out if you are not in the MY21 group? Personally, I want a MY22 for newer options like colors/tops.

I want a 1964.5 Bronco. A 2022 has no value to me.

ETA: talked to my dealer today and he said I'm close to first in line, and will get a 2021 based on their allocation. He started the conversation with, basically no one is getting a 2021, there just won't be enough for all the reservation holders. He started talking about the 2022 being better than the 2021 because of the additional options, colors, etc. Then he double checked my reservation date and said, oh, you're in the driver's seat, you'll get a 2021 unless I want a 2022 and want to pick a late availability option. My current build should net me a 2021.
