My childhood and the 79 Bronco

My love of the Bronco started near the end of 1978 when my mom and dad bought a new 79 Bronco from Cal Worthington in Anchorage Alaska. My dad tells me I was too scared and didn't want to get into the truck when they bought it. Hey, I was only a year old and didn't know any better. We had it until 82 when my mom and I moved to the lower 48. From then on we had 2 more full size Broncos and 2 Bronco IIs until my parents moved to the Explorer in the 90's. With the new Bronco coming I wanted to get a few pictures of the old 79 for building out my FE. Closest I'll get is lightning blue and a white top I guess. But hey, it will have a blue interior like the 79. Thankfully my mom figured out the scanner and was able to send some pictures of my childhood. To this day I still wonder if it's roaming around in Alaska someplace. Thought I would share my pictures here.

Great pictures! Thanks for sharing. The Bronco would have been a great vehicle to have in Alaska. It would be interesting to find out what happened to your old '79. (y)

This is awesome, thanks for posting! How I wish we had pics of the family with my Dad's 78, lost them all in a fire.
