Let's upgrade that stereo head unit (so our smart phones work) for less than $500

I just installed this Sony head unit into my 15 Yo daughters Ford Focus. The new generation are glued to their phones … and Apple car play seems to be a way to keep them from looking down at their phones while driving. Since CD's have now gone the way of cassette tapes your head unit only needs a few USB connections, and of course Bluetooth to Rock the house. Sony made this head unit as a single Din that mounts very nicely directly into our single dinn slot. No kit is needed. Here is a picture of the test fit I made in the dash of my 1996. There is a little gap around the edges... since the unit does not sit exactly flush do to the screen hanging down... but if that bothers you … it could be fixed very easily.

This also has a input for a rear camera … and if you tow anything with your Bronco .. watching the screen to attach the trailer to the ball is almost worth the cost of the unit

Nice, I’m looking to replace the head unit in my sons 04 F250 to keep his eyes off the phone more.

The head unit is usually the first thing I change in a vehicle. The 2019 F150 has so much integration with navigation and wi-fi that we haven't even thought about swapping it out. It's a decent system though and not a huge deal. I assumed the Bronco would be similar. I have a really nice system in my Edge with DVD that I'd use in the Bronco if I could but just figured it would be more trouble than not.
