Adding a relay switch

With past vehicles, I have been able to use a relay switch, with the trigger coming from the high beam of one headlight to operate my LED light bar. This way I don't have to fumble for another switch to turn the bar on and off. When my high beams are on, the light bar is on. When I dim them....well, you get the picture. Anyway, I'm told I can't do that with my 2023 Bronco. Does anyone have an idea of how I can hook up the headlight dimmer to operate my light bar??

Yup… that’s correct. The headlights are all LED and are driven by integrated circuits rather than traditional relays.

If you have the auxiliary switch option, you can use those. Otherwise it’ll be a DIY adventure to run a switch inside the cabin. If you want to get really adventurous you can program an Arduino (or some other microprocessor) to listen on the communication bus inside the Bronco, and program it to trigger a relay when the high-beams get turned on.
