I just did front flaps - I may reconsider but I wanted to save my paint and not pay $100s more.

Universal Flaps
$22.00

Hardware
$11.00
$10.00

1) tape two pieces of paper together to match the width of the flaps.

2) hold paper up to body pins and made a dot with a maker where you will hang your flap. Include hole in wheel flare for top right corner of flap - close to edge where c-clap will cover. You'll see a tube under flare. That's where hole and c-clap go. I used an exacto knife to cut hole in flare as I didn't want to pull wheel to do with drill

3) put paper on flaps and drill.

4) U-clips go on all existing body pin mounts behind wheel padding and in flare.

5) Hang flap and screwed in

I did not cut flaps. If you line top of flap up with top body pins the length works out well.

This looks like a good economical solution that saves the paint.
I've got and OB SAS with side steps. The side steps seem to always be in the way of any mud flaps.

I've seen where that can be an issue. Do the steps extend inside the wheel well?

Thank you for sharing this. My 2 blocks of dirt road turned into 1/2 mile 1 week after taking delivery. Waiting on stirrups. Hoping they will help. But, I'm thinking front mud flaps will be needed. And, I don't want to spend hundreds.

Yes, the steps extend 2" or 2 1/2" or so into the arc of the wheel well. I've seen where someone has used the $50 Ford flaps and cut around the step and attached the top to the fender flair--which looked fine, but I'm concerned the attachment to the fender flair would be damaged if something hit the extension straight up. Like when crawling over rocks.
I was hoping Ford or some after market vendor could supply a solution since so many folks have added these steps to a Sasquatch.

Still trying to figure out if these splash guards will work with rock rails. Site says no. But looks to have rock rails in the pic0774B527-5786-49EA-BE3F-88862B22FBEE.png0774B527-5786-49EA-BE3F-88862B22FBEE.png

I believe these mud flaps will work just fine if you do not have Sasquatch. The photo looks like a non-sas Badlands. They do not work with the larger fenders on the SAS.

Thank you for your reply. Mine isnā€™t squatched so I think Iā€™ll go with these. Love the mudflaps with the bronco on them but thatā€™s a monster price jump. This will be my first time buying mud flaps. Was in sticker shock seeing almost $500 just for front flaps

These only work on non-sqatch because of wheel flare size

Well done! It blows my my mind that itā€™s this or spending $1,000 for mud flaps that actually work for folks with rock rails or larger tires. Iā€™ve been pretty disappointed with the available bolt on accessories to date. Itā€™s either going to get better or Iā€™m going to start a company to make it better because thereā€™s clearly a market out there!

As a marketer, I can tell you that the marketing people who put this digital image together didnā€™t understand the product constraints. It definitely doesnā€™t fit as is.

These will NOT fit with rock rails. You will have to cut out hole in mud flap for rock rail to go through the flaps in the front. Not hard to cut the hole just know that it does not fit without modification.

That looks good. What did you use for cutting? Did you use a traced cardboard form or just freehand it?

I noticed that too. But, is that the rear? Only the front doesn't fit? My husband's input is "you don't need them". But, I have heard people modifying them.

Thatā€™s the front there. This is the rear. Iā€™m gonna roll with it. I wasnā€™t gonna get them either till I heard others talking about how bad they kick up rocks. Iā€™m thinking others are right about it just not working with bigger flares from Sasquatch package. BFDB5728-8D1B-409A-8098-FE86E18B47FD.png
