In this day and age, questioning motives is always the right call. Way too much pandering going on. However, this isn’t the first time Ford has done this, so give them credit where credit is due. Ford is also listed as one of the top places to work in the US for LGBT. If this Bronco was done for the same reasons this raptor was, then they meant to be over the top. The Google machine found me this.

Sometimes when an individual, or company, ventures down the road of celebrating one group over another the cause can cease to be about the (on its face) noble effort to celebrate a marginalized group, and conversely becomes more about the group, or groups they chose not to celebrate. Where was the black history Bronco? The Asian Pacific Bronco? The CHRISTmas Bronco? And correct me if I’m wrong, but wasn’t this past Friday International Donut day? Did anyone see a donut Bronco?

The intent was perhaps righteous? However, in this day and age all things are controversial, or political, or fodder for the social justice keyboard warriors. Add that to a vehicle’s mod being so poorly executed, so over the top, stereotypical, loud, tacky, and dare I say…..hideous, that relatively few would choose to even drive it across hostile, barren Moab, let alone the friendly confines of the city by the bay (with the exception Santa Barbara Barbie or My Little Pony).
It’s like painting a mustache on the Mona Lisa or Jennifer Gray (of dirty dancing fame) getting a nose job…..it was perfect as it was. It was reconstructed when a bumper sticker would have sufficed. But, a bumper sticker wouldn’t have stimulated conversation, rooted out prejudices, trended on twitter, or provided a forum for those who truly believe in gay rights,…….or those that perhaps want to give the impression to others that they champion the cause. Do we really, for that matter honestly know if Ford’s intentions were honorable? Were they about Ford being socially in tune and down with the cause? Or were their intentions a little more sinister or premeditated? Could they have been more financially motivated? (gasp!). I believe, based on Fords past actions, that this was a calculated business opportunity and controversy was an intended consequence…..creating a buzz. I’ll leave it to the more gullible amongst us to make the case for Ford’s wholesome intentions, that their primary purpose was as they portrayed them in spite of the fact that every decision they make is centered around money, and profit.
If their intentions are indeed honorable, I’ll wait for the Dirt Mountain or Ice Mountain thematic Bronco build…..now those are some persecuted groups that could use a champion like Ford.

Okay…….that may have been a bold exercise of my first amendment rights. Now rip me to shreds…as a fascist, a jaded capitalist, conservative, a liberal, a socialist, or Jeep guy, or…..
Let me put it this way, when donuts are discriminated against, murdered for being donuts, and generally get a hard time, I'm all for a donut pride themed Bronco! BTW, donuts DO get murdered in my house all the time. They don't last long around here!

In all seriousness I'm just as dubious about the motivations of corporations, including Ford, when it comes to things like this. My personal opinion is that corporations shouldn't be involved in politics at all. No money donations, no lobbying, nothing. Just make a product, market it to the best of your ability to show the public why we should buy your product, and leave the rest to real people. But that's not the world we live in right now, so I don't have an issue with Ford showing some love to a marginalized group. So, let me ask you this, did you complain when they built the pope Bronco? https://media.ford.com/content/fordmedia/fna/us/en/news/2022/01/25/bronco-pope-francis-center-first-edition.html

Anyway, this is moving away fromBronco discussion and dangerously close to a political discussion, so this will be my last comment on the topic.

Only heathens and Protestants would hate on a pope Bronco. Besides, the pope Bronco looks nice.
I have no problem with companies making donations and drawing attention to worthwhile causes like homelessness and gay pride……as long as people don’t get it twisted and think it’s about anything other than sales and marketing. Now, actors and entertainers preaching to me about political issues? That’s where I enact my own personal boycotts.

Saddens my heart to see all these negative comments, silly me for thinking Bronco Nation was an inclusive forum...all Ford was trying to do was shut down some lame internet trolls and here they all are showing their @$$ on this forum...when did live and let live become a thing of the past? Don't like the Pride Bronco? Cool bro, keep scrolling, no one cares what your PERSONAL political views are here...keep them to yourself and your day and everyone else's might be a bit more enjoyable...as a lesbian and long time Bronco owner I think Ford has done nothing more than try to stand with a marginalized group and spread some Bronco love...if that bothers you to the point you feel you need to respond negatively that's a YOU issue...maybe look into that...I say live and let live... love and let love...and cheers to Ford for not pandering to their core demographic 24/7/365...spreading that Bronco love should never be a bad thing!

I, for one, am thoroughly disgusted by corporate "woke" virtue signaling.
I, for one, am thoroughly disgusted by people that use the label "woke" or "virtue signaling" for a person or a company that's just trying to show support or be an ally or do something nice. But hey, maybe I was woke virtue signaling when I helped somebody change a tire the other day or when I donated a pint of blood. Ultimately it's actions, not words, that matter.

Props to Ford for going further than just changing their Twitter logo for a bit. They should put 37's on it and make it a standard package just above the Everglades.

There will always be haters…no matter what the topic is about. Bronco Nation is predominantly full of good people that don’t care what color, race, creed, orientation, etc. you are. Unless you’re a Chevy boy, then gtfo…

But seriously, don’t even pay attention to the negativity. Life’s too short and it ain’t worth it. All are welcome here. Except Chevy bois…and Dodge bois…Jeep bois are ok.

It has nothing to do with inclusivity, its about pushing an agenda. Disney corporation recently banned the use of gender terms, like boys and girls, from their theme parks. I don't care what you do in your bedroom, but when you dictate what words I'm allowed to use, you have my attention! When you push it on my kids, you have my attention.

Even liberal Bill Maher thinks this LGBT stuff has gone to far. Drag queen shows for little kids? Reducing everyone to the color of their skin and sexuality? NO, this isn't about inclusivity anymore! Save the crap, it means nothing anymore!

Just curious here…can you give an example of how any of what you have stated as directly negatively impacted your life? Or are you just citing things you see on Facebook/ the news? I for one have never been told by Disney that I can’t say “boy” or “girl,” so what they choose to do has no impact on my life. I’ve never been to a drag show with or without kids present, so again…doesn’t impact me. I wouldn’t take my kids to a straight strip club either…so I think that’s just an example of shitty parenting. And have you had a bunch of gay people trying to take your children directly from you? That would be most unfortunate, wether they are gay or not, and you should probably be calling the police since that’s abduction. Anyways, point being…I choose to get on this site, I choose to click on a thread titled “pride bronco,” and I choose to engage in this debate. If I don’t want to see the pride Bronco, I can choose to not look at it. I can also choose to not take kids to a drag show, and I can choose to say boy or girl at Disney. I don’t think Goofy will hop out of the bushes with a taser and zap you if you say either of those words. I’ve never once had a negative experience with a gay person in real life and typically only hear about these outlier stories on the news or online, so just curious if you have actually had these experiences in real life.

Dang all the keyboard warriors flocking to this one. Anyways, I like the rainbow scheme, but the gold flakes I am not a fan of. Personally I think a bright white would have looked much cleaner vs the gold.

I just wanna see Gays fight back against the Groomers

I went to Asbury Park last night with my on/off, went for dinner, no problem there (Asbury used to be all ghetto, then the gays gentrified it). I don't personally care about them per say, but don't like these drag queen story hours, don't like NJ trying to teach 2nd graders about gender (I gotta niece going into 1st grade next year), hate this "every kids trans" crap, worse is I'm quoting Bill Maher here

And even worse are the parents who don't realize kids just go through phases:

I wanted to be a fire fighter or super hero.

Also, you don't see Veterans Pride Month or American Pride month, so why not just settle for a random Tuesday in June instead of taking over the entire month.

Again, good for you, but leave the Kids alone
Not saying that isn’t a legitimate concern, but just remember, the media is designed to make stuff seem worse than it is. That’s how they get their ratings, which in turn makes them profit. Same reason we are hearing about monkey pox at the moment…zero real threat, but need something to fire people up. I think by and large, those scenarios you’re worried about are very few and far between.
