Discoloration on vinyl/plastic on side view mirror

I noticed this on the side view mirror. Seems like it's a permanent discoloration. Any idea why this could have happened or what could have caused this? Or solutions? Thank you in advance.

Not quite sure what caused that but try Cerakote - it works magic on plastic to restore its original color & provide great protection for several months
