There are "better" more "urban" spots than Moultree. (for catching) maybe not as rustic.

The joys of coastal living. Fresh water fishing and ocean fishing. There is also the mile wide Saint Johns river.

As far as fishing in St Augustine..... Surf fishing is just about my favorite passtime. Whiting is a great tasting fish, and the red fish is even better. The intra coastal tributaries offer some of the best fishing in the state. Here is a hidden gem that is always empty... bring a kayak or canoe.

You also need to check out this spot.

While in Orlando two weeks ago we took all my extended family for the day. The outside temperature was 95%..... and after two hours in the springs we had to pull the little ones out of the water because their lips were turning blue and they were shivering. You wouldn't think 72 degree water would take your breath away ... but when its blazing hot... 72 degrees feels like jumping into a glass of ice water.

Good times

Yep, been to both of them. Sometimes we pack a pic-nik lunch and go to Faver-Dykes.IMG_1654.JPG
