Hardtop prep kit

I am a new member and new owner. Can anyone tell me if how to tell if a 4 door badlands (i dont think this matters) has the hardtop prep kit. I picked up a badlands yesterday with the lux and 2.3. Ford was adding the prep kit to units produced in September so it's unlikely.

Thanks. This was not my build, but was available since the person bailed so i picked it up. I just didn't know if there was a way to determine if it has the kit included.

There are a few videos on here and on YouTube that show what the connections look like. If you see some things plugged in but not really going to anything in the back then you may have it. The window sticker should show it if you have it. Or just ask your dealership

Do you have the connectors in the back left for the wiper wash and electronics for the wiper?

IF it has it, it’s on the interior driver side back panel.

The factory connections for the hardtop are located in the left rear inner panel in the cargo area. When I attended the Bronco Off-Roadeo, there were several Broncos (2 and 4 doors) with aftermarket soft tops hooked up to the factory connections.

From a different thread, but looks like the pic still opens. It would also have a different multi function switch on the steering column for rear wiper controls.

I forgot about the control stalk on the steering wheel!

Thanks i dont think it does. It does have the place to connect the wire harness and wiper hose, but no wiring.

BN has a video on the removal of the hard top, which might explain it better. I can’t remember if there is any other wiring, but I’ll be in the same boat in a few months!

Check out the BN video. In the video at 2:30 it specifically calls out what to do with the components in the back. If you don't have these items your Bronco is not prepped for a hard top.
