Hi,
I don't know a lot about mechanics but I have an 5.0L '89 Eddie Bauer Bronco that's been in the family for 3 generations now and means the world to me. I need to replace my engine because it recently blew after constantly burning/leaking both oil and coolant. I'm looking to replace it with a crate motor or a budget friendly improvement in the ford family and am wondering about what my options are, tips you might have, any good engine repair shops in the San Diego or Las Vegas area, and any other info you can give me. I'm a purist, so I'd like to keep it looking as original as possible...for example things like preserving the gauges and making them compatible with the replacement engine or finding replacement gauges that look period correct.
Thanks in advance,
Victoria
