First of all I am tired of playing musical tops, but what I wanted to know is. Are dealerships required to contact you if there is something in your build that would hold it up, I watched a video where it said dealerships would have a 2 week period to contact customers if there is something in their build that would make the build later. My dealership doesnt communicate very well. So hoping this is something Ford will make them do. I really have a pretty stock O.B but I added modular bumper and MIC top I really dont think I want to change anything, At first they wanted to change from soft top and painted to MIC and give you sound deadening, now they want to take it away and go back to soft top, If your going to destroy the demo vehicles take a top and a bumper off I will take it used lol,

I can only speak for the Ford dealers near me in saying they were challenged by the Bronco. Most did not have a designated Bronco specialist and most of the sales personnel did not receive training on the Bronco features or the WBDO system from their Sales Managers. It seemed the Sales Managers kept all the knowledge, and the sales staff were genuinely afraid to approach the manager with questions or assistance. Phone calls and emails went unanswered, and visits were useless.

After searching across a three-state area, I found what I needed, and life is better. Not great, but better.

I am not sure and have never heard a dealership is required to do anything per se as calling a customer, there are so many moving parts with all the unknown part shortages going on, that a dealer if they were even kept up to date on whats short today and whats not would literally need a call center to handle any potential calls because a customer might or might not have one of the parts that could be short this week or maybe in 4-5 weeks or maybe not at all once their build date comes up.

I ordered what I wanted and I will get what I wanted when it comes in. Sure I deleted the Mod bumper and ugly brush guard after the changes, then removed the full bash plates since Ill go AM anyways on all that. But, I was always a MIC (gets me all the wiring and plumbing for the rear window, soft top doesn't) and kept the factory hitch receiver as it's then factory wired and not spliced in AM.

I have no affiliation with Ford or a dealer, but very rarely are they "required" to do anything as far as customer relations, from what I can tell.

Also, the dealer demo units will not be destroyed, they will be for sale after a certain amount of time.
Other pre-production type units may get destroyed.

I think its really hit or miss with the dealerships. My particular dealership and sales rep are actually quite knowledgeable and up to date with developments from Ford, but they are not proactive. When I initiate communication, they are responsive and seem to be reasonably up to speed on latest Bronco developments (although not as up to date as regular Bronco Nation readers), but I've never had them contact me unprompted.

I think one thing we need to keep in mind is that the dealership sales model is not really set up for something like the Bronco launch. If you're a sales person and your performance and compensation is based on short term sales numbers, you are going to concentrate on selling F150's, Explorers, etc NOW rather than Broncos that may or may not count towards those metrics months or years from now. This fact makes for a very aggravating experience for collective Bronco buyers!
