Check Engine Light

Picked up my new Bronco Saturday and today with 71 miles on it the check engine light came on. Contacted my salesman
and he had me use the Ford Pass app to identify what the alarm was. The engine control system has detected an electrical fault with the evaporative emission purge control valve and it's associated wiring. Doesn't sound major but we are not off to a great start.

its most likely the purge valve rather than the wiring

I agree most likely that's the problem, still can drive with no issues.

Dealer said it's the valve - replacing it today. Thanks for the replies!

Glad they got it figured out. Sometimes you get a bad/defective part. They are building 1000s of these parts so there is bound to be a bad one in the bunch.

Post moved to Bronco Sport General Discussion. The issue is not specific to the Big Bend model.
