We will be exploring the trails in and around Camp Grayling. This is the largest Armey Resrve base in the US. On top of some interesting trails and scenery, you might get to see a few Blackhaks, A-10' or apaches cruing overhead!

Have you explored the trails in the area? I did a mountain bike race at Hansen Hills, but never off road there.

The event Saturday is listed here on this forum in the events section, on the Facebook group page and here https://michiganbroncos.club/site/event/event-camp-grayling-trail-ride.
The MI Bronco Club has about 80 members and including the Facebook group has about 650 (many of the club members don’t use Facebook). We have regular events at Holly Oaks and have held rides at St Helens Scramble area, Silver Lake and Camp Grayling so far this year. So three more rides outside of Holly Oaks for 2022 (so far).

Well...someday my Bronco may come!! I ordered a Bronco instead of another Jeep. Guess that makes me an enthusiast. I know what the trails are like around the camp. In general are you guys and easy going or hard charging group on the trails? I won't be able to make Saturady, other plans. Thanks

I would say it’s a mix of styles and level of aggression. Usually we have some experience led giyys and some newbies. We just have fun and let people tackle what they feel comfortable with. I don’t think any of us are super familiar with the trails around the base. I have done some exploring on my motorcycle and quad in the pst. I also have ridden my mountain bike in some areas. It’s kind of confusing with the DNR maps (they updated a pdf map, but not the interactive version). Like is Budweiser Hill open? Some maps would say maybe, others no. Where are the ranger and how do those closures affect the trails? (They are running two of the three ranges this week I think). Any other areas we shouldn’t miss?
