With everyone jumping on the bronco band wagon recently it's made me wonder. How many broncos have you personally owned.? I have owned the following: 72,75, 89 and 91. My favorite being the 89 I turned it into a class 3 desert runner. Guess which bronco I chose , it had the notorious Ford red on red interior. That eventually grew on me, my wife absolutely hate it. Hands down the most fun I ever had in a bronco.

I am a lifelong Bronco fan and love the big Broncs. I have owned 3 over the years, 87 w/4.9 straight six, 89 w/351 and currently have my 96 Eddie Bauer w/302 which I will keep. Hopefully she'll have some company in the stable soon. :)

I'm looking for another 90s Bronco myself along with a 77 should be interesting. I do love the full-size broncos great platform to do whatever you need.

I hear ya, I would love to pick up another one but Mrs. Bronc96 would likely not be too happy if I brought another one home, lol.

I have always wanted a 1st gen as well but prices have put that out of reach for now. Glad I didn't sell my 96 a few years ago, been really exciting to see the values on the big Broncs finally start to move upward. Still some reasonable deals out there though.

I own two …. don't ever plan on getting rid of either one.

1993 XLT (5.8 California Bronco.... still find it amazing that it has such little rust.) owned since 2005
1996 XL ( 5.0 with a 5 speed) Owned since 2013.

The 1996 is just soo much fun to daily drive. Slamming gears in a truck is what life is all about.

Now I have to look for some property out in the sticks to feed my Bronco addiction.... my HOA will not allow me to have another one.... and I REALLY want a 1986 bullnose with a straight 6 and stick shift..

I had a 1984 XLT with the 351W. Loved that rig but had to sell it when the motor blew. Other than that it was in perfect condition. Would love to have another. I missed buying a white 94 xlt about 6 years ago stopped to look at it got home to tell the wife by the time I called back it was sold.

For those of you who don't know, the 4.9 is also known as the 300 six. Bulletproof engine, almost as bullet proof as the Chrysler 225 six...

I’ve had 4 total. Still own the 68, 74 and 77. Had a 79 custom with the 400M/C6 in the early 80’s but had to part with her due to financial needs when I separated from the USN. Will always regret not finding a way to hang on to her. She really loved the gas pump but was an awesome performer. Consider myself fortunate at this stage of my life to have the three Gen 1’s in my stable and an open stall ready for the new Gen 6 (when that happens). Life is truly good, even when patience is put to the test. :giggle:

First time behind the wheel for me was in a 1988 Ford bronco II, 5 speed, 2.9L v6, 4x4, jet black w/ red interior. I was maybe 10. Then when I was 12 my dad got a new 1/2 ton truck and that became our play toy. I spent my entire summer mudding and playing in that thing. The engine finally blew up and my dad sold it for like $200-300.

I bought a 1974 (or 75, can't remember very well) Ford bronco my senior year of high school for $550, it only had second and third gear, but the 4wd worked and the engine ran, it had a hard top and doors but no tail gate, the body was good and the paint was original (not in a good way). My friends and I worked on it for a short bit and after I got a new to me trans for it I lost interest in it. It sat for about 6 months and then I traded it (with the new trans sitting in the back) for a 1978 jeep CJ5 that was street legal but the body was pretty beat up on. looking back I probably didn't come out real good on the trade for the jeep, but I had more jeep parts and was bigger into jeeps than broncos at the time.

I grew up riding in a 1979 bronco full size bouncing around in the woods as a little kid. When I was in my late teens early 20's I had my beefed up CJ5 I built all through high school and my cousin had his 1970's bronco that we went offroading together in all the time!

So I may not be the hardcore bronco lover, but I've been around them enough to have a love for them!

Only one...

1989 Ford Bronco XLT, 4.9L straight-6, manual transmission. Bought new. Loved it, visited every state west of the Mississippi River in it with countless numbers of camping & ski trips.

I typically keep my vehicles for roughly a decade... but obviously by the time 1999 came around the Bronco had been discontinued.

Managed to keep it running smoothly for 18 years, but around 2007-2008 and 285,000 miles it was starting to show its age. I had intended to rebuild the whole thing... but 2008 was rough for me (and many other people) financially, so I ultimately traded it in during the Cash for Clunkers program in 2009. Still regret that decision, but if I'm being honest with myself... I just didn't have the financial means or the time to bring that Bronco back to life back then.

None

I did however have a White H3X and I have gone offroading with my Ram, although he's supposed to be a work truck first and foremost. I was gonna get myself a 2dr Wrangler, but then I followed along 6g and nation, then 7/13 came and went and

My Dad owned three Broncos during the 70's and 80's. Living in New England and owning his own small business, he had a Fisher snowplow installed on every one. I learned how to drive and plow snow in a Bronco when I was about 12. So many family roadtrips (way before seatbelts and booster seats were a thing), drive-in movies with the tailgate down and irreplaceable memories. I can't wait for the opportunity to make my own Bronco family memories!

BTW - I always loved the Red on Red color scheme!

Broncos were never in my price range growing up, then kids, mortgages, starting a small business, college, pretty much life in general has kept if from happening. NOW my wife and I can afford one so we put it on order. I always wanted the OJ Version. That was my high school years and I loved the short wheelbase BIG size of the Bronco. Now to get one that is in great shape you better be willing to fork out the bucks for it.
