Has anyone had a issue with the brake warning light coming on at highway speeds. Cruising at 100-110 k/hr and the light randomly comes on. Brake pedal becomes hard, have to push hard as if it is stuck. But a key cycle and it goes away.

If 2.3l, then yes. Vacuum tube/sensor was bad on mine, causing loss of vacuum boost. Seems like a known issue with the 2.3.

Yes take it in. If it is the vacuum line like @Shoresy and you have to make a hard brake maneuver on the highway it might be really hard to push the brake pedal hard enough to stop in time.

Hello! Send us a private message with your VIN and the name and location of your local Ford dealer. I’d be happy to see what I can do to assist with this brake warning light concern. Thanks!
