I apologize if this was discussed before, but couldn’t find the answer. Does anyone know what tires come on the Big Bend when you get the AT tire option? Was trying to decide if I want to order new tires to put on when it shows up or keep the ones from the factory. All I can find is sizing and not the actual make/ model of tire.

Thanks! I’m not very familiar with these. They decent for light off roading?

I've never used them. But looking at them I'd say they're good for highway driving. Though I'm sure people have used them off road too.

My recommendation for an "off road" sort of tire, go with a BFG All Terrain, or Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T, or something along those lines.

Just do yourself a favor and stay away from the Nitto Ridge Grapplers that everyone loves so much. They may be fine for off road, but they suck ass on wet roads. I know that from experience.

So I’ll probably upgrade tires from the dealer when it arrives. I’m thinking 275/70/17, so not too big to cause issues with crash bar. Mine is a non-squatch. Thoughts on that size being good?

Bridgestone Dueler ATs are just road tires. If you are going to do any off-roading get some BF Goodrich All Terrians. Good for light off roading and good on the street as well.

I’ve always been a fan of Toyo Open Country as well. Good traction but quiet

You can fit 285/70R17 and should not have any issues with crash bars. Especially if you use original wheels.

Dealers don't usually have the best prices on tires. You should check tire discounters or NTB for any specials they are running.

Only reason I’m thinking dealer is to use some ford pass points, but good point.

Here is a stock Big Bend with 285/70-17.

This is from the owner.

The crash bars didn't rub but I removed the rears anyways.

Zero rub in full lock and full lock reverse. The tires clear the first crash bar by 1.5 inches and the control arm by 1.25 inches.

I will add if you only plan to do light off-roading, as in no puncture hazards like rocks, you might want to consider a P-rated tire. It will save on some weight which will help your fuel mileage. Any little helps these days. I run P285/70-17 Kenda Klever AT2s on my Gladiator. They weight under 50lbs each. Some LT tires in that size run 65lbs or higher.

would be mostly light off roaring in wooded areas and sand driving in the OBX, so not too concerned for punctures.

Then a P rated would work for you.

Those look nice! How’s the road noise (not that it matters much since I have a soft top and plan on noise anyways) and mpg drop on those?

They are pretty quiet for an AT tire. And I replaced a set of 255/75-17 BFG KM2s with these. I gained a few MPG. Even though they are bigger they have a less aggressive tread.
