On my build I went with the 225 65 R17, but you can go with an optional 235 65 R17 which has a $495 premium. I assume this means there are actual 3 different wheel options (The fake steelie which take the 235 65 R17, the standard wheel which takes 225 65 R17, and a wider "standard style wheel" which takes a 235 65 R17. Is this the case?

Just wondering if anyone has info on wheel options.

235/65R17 all-terrain off-road is what's equipped. What's possible will be up to independent testers to find out.

David,

This is the first time I have seen the Falken WIldpeak listed as an option for Badlands. That is a great tire and would be interested in it. We have them on one of our vehicles.

I have heard great things about the BFG K02 as well. I just have only seen the optional Goodyear M/T listed. Will the Wildpeaks be optional as we order and just not in B&P? Thanks for the update!

So both wheel options can accept the wider 235/65R17??? I’ve already ordered mine but when eventually replacing the tires I’m just wondering if the 235 width is possible on the same rim?

Don't think so. The 235 goes with the 17" Carbonized Gray-Painted Low Gloss Aluminum Wheel. The 225 goes with the 17" Carbonized Gray-Painted with Painted Pockets Wheels.

That makes more sense. I think Ford has a glitch in there build/price program. It will allow you to pick the bigger tire without selecting the fake steelie wheels.

Yeah, it's a little buggy. Sometimes it lets you and other times it doesn't.

this is actually not a glitch, I have seen the 235 Falken Wildpeak tires wrapper around the standard style Badlands wheel at a dealership. You are able to get the 225 Pirelli’s or 235 Falken’s with that rim (I assume the rim is actually wider but same styling), and just the 235 Falken’s with the fake steelie

The description of calling them steelies is just from the throwback.
Since both stock and upgrades wheels are
Carbonized Gray-Painted Aluminum Wheels
Steelies makes a distinction in style.
Yeah there aluminum but not fake in description.

Guess the stock wheels could be called
Spider web...its just a description.

yea I’m aware that they’re just “steelie-esque” but are aluminum. I have actually seen a lot of reviews falsely claiming them to be actual steel wheels
