Hi members who ordered aux. switch option. See write up on site. Confused! 6 Switched 5 circuit [2x glove compartment for say light bar in windshield 1x ,or rear inside quarter panel for ref. 1x all passenger side; 1x to front grill lights] ? Thats the 5 circuits prewired. Switch 1 25a, 2 15 a 3 10 a 4-6 5@.
Well when you used two circuits to grove compartment you only get two circuits. Not 4 switches if you go to light bar and ref. If you wire in a cb radio you just used up one glove compartment circuit. Same for hardwired GPS devise.

So what are the other prewired switches for and how are they wired to the switches? Electric schmanics?

I look at it this way. They’re saving me some time running 5 circuits, I didn’t expect any wiring. Just wanted factory look on switches. Anything else is a plus.

Take a look back in the existing auxiliary switch thread. There is a great schematic posted there and lots of information for you. Even video if I remember correctly. Maybe a moderator can link this new thread into that one. Easier to follow in one place

Hey @frankgoss i just located the thread. Do a search for auxiliary switches, it will pull up associated threads. @David posted a great thread on 3/5 titled “How to Use the Auxiliary Switches in Your Bronco” Take a look

Use the search function as stated, this has been covered with a great diagram and also a video for your viewing pleasure that goes over it all excellent

All the wiring is ran already for you. Switches to box and box for 6 locations in the truck. 1-6 are 25, 15 10 5 5 5

It's worse than you thought, there aren't even 5 usable prewired locations! ;)

I'm probably going to end up running my own wiring anyways. 14ga wire is good for 15 amps so if you put a 40" light bar with more than 1 row of Cree led's you'll more than likely be over 15amps of max draw. 1 row rigid 40" bar is 14.9 amps which is what they have been showing in their package from Ford. So just depends on what you are planning on wiring.

Yea, I'm going with KC PRO6 39" (Cree LEDs) which draws 13.04 for their 8 Ring or 8.15 for their 6 Ring and then the PODS ERA4 are just under 7 for the 2. Then haven't decided scene and rear lights since it'll be based on the roof rack I get.

Remember Omh law watts/volts= amps , 14 gauge wire is thin. 12 gauge is lighting circuit 10 gauge is for home 220 lines and 8 gauge is like battery cable. Wire and cable are different forms of electrical wiring. Finally 18 gauge wire is like speaker wire.??
When I got my boats they ran a white thin cord so you could fish or attach wires and pull to another location. Electricians use the word runways to fish cables. All wire have marking to let you know how much current they are rated for. Also all switches have ratings.
If anyone has the actual schmatic with gauge kf wires in the switch harness, please post. The picture some were referring to was helpfulll but not a true wiring schmatic.

Good video, but was advertised as six switches , when only three circuits can be used. However the other three switches can be wired to say low 5 amp devices. No switch can carry wiring for winches, unless an inline relay is used. Look at the wire harness in the hood One or two 12 gauge 25,15 amp draw(light bars) 14 gauge, and three 18 gauge like speaker wires. Switches were not rated on amps, just wires. So we still have to wire winches say 8 gauge wire switches to winches. Bummer. Any electrician a member here?

When, if I ever get delivery of my base ordered 3/17 I'll let you know.
Had many explorers and expeditions. Once you get them in salt water, like those outer bank, ones; they will rust out.

Ford does not offer a factory undercoating. Dealers sell shit to make money with a limited warrantee say 1-3 years. Our 2004 lost its upper control arms, tie rods rear springs, $2000 in rust and NYS will not allow rusted suspensions on road. We sprayed fresh water after each ramping of many boats and salt water will always find a spot that will rust out box frames.

No body shop, nor dealer will guarantee undercarriage rustproofing. Had Porsche Turbo Cayenne and salt from New England roads caused rust issues. Have looked under your ford recently?

Now have a Florida Range Rover Sport no rust yet. Try keep off road in snow storms since road salt will kill it.
Base Bronco is for off road fishing, but fresh water only. My grandsons explorer is for LI beachs.
Good luck on your Bronco, hope it works for you.
