....and, it's done --- Mustang is gone, no more Bronco for me

Ford just kept screwing things up too bad - I couldn't take the punches any more. Tonight, I pulled the trigger - I traded in my 2016 Ecoboost Mustang for a 2021 Chevy ZR2 Colorado Crew Cab. They made it such a sweet deal, it was hard to pass up .. employee pricing, plus $1000 cash back, AND another $1000 off because I'm a Costco member... so it ended up coming out over $10k less than the Bronco I was planning on getting. It's bittersweet - I'm excited to get this new truck (I've NEVER owned a Chevy before).. but I'm sad that Ford created such a negative experience that pushed me to this point .. I hope you guys all end up enjoying your Broncos when you end up getting them, and I hope Ford figures this process out to avoid more frustrations, disappointments and lost loyalty.

Congrats on the Bison!

Just curious, but what are your frustrations? I was pretty upset when I found out there would be no X-plan but nothing else has really bothered me. I've stuck with the same build most of this time, though, so I very well could've missed something.

Sorry to see you leaving the Bronco camp but that is a great looking truck. They have come a long way since the first ones came out. Good luck!

Agreed. I had an '06 Colorado for a while and that thing was frickin' tiny. These newer Colorados look so much beefier, and just nicer all around. I am really diggin' on these ZR2s

Enjoy your Chevy and congrats. There will be plenty of Broncos to be had a few years down the road when you’re ready for your next vehicle.

@Calgecko I really hope you enjoy the new rig. I do have to be honest though, it would look MUCH better with some dirt and mud from the trails on it :).

I do hope you stay an active part of this community. I'd hate to lose an active/contributing member if you still have an interest in Broncos (even if you didn't end up buying one) and have offroading experience and adventures you'd like to share!

@Calgecko, sad to see you go and hope you love your new truck. I looked pretty hard at ZR2s not that long ago. I liked the front and rear locking diffs and the general look of the truck.

However, and I only say this cause I know Bronco would never get away with it, can we talk about that gas cap door?

I think I would have went for a Ranger instead of a chevy. But I have not had very good luck with any chevy vehicle. Good luck to you if your still reading these.

Not going to tow or haul anything?

Thanks - yeah, I'm super happy with it! no plans for towing anything or any heavy hauling - an occasional Home depot trip or something, but that's about it. Maybe a cooler and supplies for a road trip ...
