I love the National Parks. Can’t wait to journey across this county and see as many as I can with my dear Hubby and pup. Is there any better way than camping along the way with our Bronco? Not in my book.
As much as I love my Bronco, camping, and NP’s, I love quilting too. I found a way to marry all my favorite things together and I’m so excited about it! Last week, my son stopped by with a fabric panel of all the National Park stamps. He asked if I would turn it into a quilt for him. It didn’t take long for his request to morph into my next quilt project that completely thrills me.
Sweet Son was describing what he wanted on the back. “Could you just layer some fabrics so that it looks like the mountains and the sky?” Some of you may have already snapped to then same image that jumped into my brain. I went to my office and returned with the 5x7 calendar that Ford sent out a couple months ago and said, “You mean, like this?” It was perfect! I agreed to design a quilt for him provided he would buy all the supplies to make a quilt for him…and a quilt for me!
I figured that since forum cheers for all things Bronco, that I could take a little twist on this and keep you posted about my newest quilt project that combines so many things I love: My son, NP Dream, Quilting, Bronco, Camping. So here is the starting point of this project. I’ve started with pics of the calendar and resulting design, plus the fabrics to pull it all together.
So much fun ahead!!
