Hello friends!

Looks like I will take delivery of my 2 door race red Outer Banks this December! I have some time to think about tires! Any suggestions or thoughts on this: Outer Banks comes with P255/70R18 (roughly 32"). I would like a beefier and taller stance and am thinking about a a set of 275/70 or 285/70. This would make it about 33.5" tires. Any thoughts on the difference between 285 and 275?

Thanks!

I went with 285/75 R17
No lift / stock suspension.
No rubbing issues with the 0mm offset on new wheels.

Looks way better than stock Big Bend wheel setup.

Anything taller would require relocation of the 3rd brake light.
Mine literally sticks out enough to be visible.

Thanks and good point on the 3rd tail light. I didn't think of that! Thank you!

My dealer said the third brake light is adjustable. The BB they had had 35x12.5x20 on it with only a level kit.

Can you run 285/70/18 on the stock 18’s?

The one i run and size of your choice will be virtually the same size wheel set.
With the right offset you are safe.

I don’t know the stock wheel specs, but there is a big chance you may need spacers.

Another option is, try to sell the complete set of wheels and tires that came on your Bronco (fits also Ranger) you met get yourself “few new rims” from that sale…
