We can start here with this thread and if we need a more pronounced space I can get something going in the future. We can post anything Arizona based in here for now until we see what the demand is. :)

Maybe check in with the two existing clubs and tie-in with their expertise/experience? Arizona Classic Bronco has been around since 1991 and isn't very active anymore. However the AZ Bronco Club caters more to the late model guys and has been a little more active in recent years.

Here in the future we can see what needs to be done to get maybe a couple weekend show ups going. Current and future owners can meet and prepare for some trail excursions as well.

This weekend went up to Montana Mountain. Was warm up there but some great views.

I tried to attach the GPX file but not supported by the forums. Would rate the drive easy. Ford Excursion discovered 4x4 was not working correctly when we were out there. Still made it through. Would have been nice to be a bit shorter for the switchbacks on the way down but a couple of 3 point turns never hurt anyone :).

Took the Ranger out on Sunday. We headed out towards Globe then north up toward Roosevelt Lake. Followed 288 up through young then cut up to 260 towards Payson before heading back home. 4x4 is not required for this drive. Mix of dirt and pavement. Plenty of camping and tons to explore along the way that would require 4x4 so make it as challenging as you desire. I was on a hunt for a spot I could get the RV to so I could set up basecamp for further exploration.

Went and spent the weekend up in Flagstaff. My group was looking for a dirt / pavement mixed kind of drive. Nothing complicated. I did not have to use 4x4 at all in our Excursion. Was a pretty drive though. As always if you want my GPX files just send me a PM.

This drive took us up and over Shultz Pass then crossed the highway to go check out the volcanic rock and ash at Sunset Crater. Very pretty.

Looks like you did a loop through the Cinders area? That's a great area for 4WD fun - we had our Bronco club Stampede there from 95-01'ish - tons of fun!

Would love to join the group. The new Bronco will be the first 4x4 I've owned. I've been the passenger several times and have always wanted to get started so here we go! Definitely looking to get into a group that's open to beginners and willing to share the adventure as well as your experience.

Boy this thread has been quiet for almost 9 months!!!!

The Bronco Off-Road Drive at the Ford McDowell Rodeo grounds opens today (and goes through Oct 9th). Is anyone else signed up to participate? I'm booked for Monday (10/4) at 3:45 PM. I look forward to meeting any other BN members that might be that at the same time.

I was thinking the same thing! We’re you able to get Otto the overland expo in Flagstaff last weekend? I got out on Friday and did the Bronco ride along. I wonder if it is the same for the drive at Ft McDowell?
