The more I see A51, the more I think it is for me

I want to like A51. At times it looks great but other times it looks too blue. After driving a blue escape for 11 years I’m ready for something different. Sometimes cactus grey looks so good and other times it looks white and some of the CGI renderings its kinda like a mint green. Really like the orange but not sure I want to always turn heads :). The obx fishing concept rapid red has launched that color to my short list.

I am still down with Antimatter Blue. It is a ninja color. One minute it looks black and the next it pops with a brilliant deep blue. Still will need to see build and price for white top, etc.

The more I look at Area 51, the more it reminds me of Toyota's Calvary Blue. Just a bland, boring blue.



I sound like a broken record. But they need a blue that really pops. Like Grabber or Nitrous Blue. Or something like Toyota's Voodoo Blue.

I guess some don't care for Cavalry Blue. I've liked my Taco Pro in that color. If you are around it enough, you realize how much it changes with ambient lighting. The pic you show is in full sun. Check it out in the shade or at dusk. I think A51 and AB in that they change color with ambient light.

So Velocity Blue doesn't do it for you or the late availability is the killer?

Velocity is OK. It would probably be my first choice of any of the available colors if I was buying soon. But I do like the discontinued lightning blue better. I'm not buying until probably late 2022 early 2023 so there should be different color options by then.

I think we may be forgetting one of the best ”blast from the past” blues.

What about a Sonic Blue, like on the Terminators and Lightnings? It wasn’t a bright and bold blue, but it definitely caught your eye. My uncle has an 03 Termi with sonic blue, and in the sun, that paint just sparkles and looks amazing!

If Grabber Blue was available I'd be all over that color.

Most of the cars I have owned have been blue. 1985 Pontiac Grand Ma, 1993 Camaro (teal) 1984 Bronco, 2000 F250, 2001 Escape, 2008 Malibu, and a 2008 cobalt. The cars I own that weren’t blue, 1975 mustang (gray), 1992 Grand Ma (red),2004 F250 (maroon) and a 2009 gold Suburban. So that’s why I’m going A51 blue gray. But I might change it to Antimatter blue, or orange or black, or the white.

I really like velocity blue but I don't want to wait longer to get get that color if that late availability info is true for that color.

thats anti matter blue bronco in background, right? that is one sharp truck. it may be changing my mind again and may have to have another 12 years of blue vehicle :)

Same, just not in a financial position to buy now, also kinda wanna wait and see how they do and are received by the consumers. Also would like to see some on the roads first!
