Car wash for soft tops (or MiC hats tops)
The larger 35's don't fit well in the wheel channels of some of the older/smaller car washes. I do not think there is a problem in the newer/modern washes. You can always ask your local car wash operator.- mbagne

Is this normal?
I don't recall cases of the non-updated portal indicating "not in production" and no VIN, when in reality the order IS in production and there is a VIN, especially when the Dealer usually gets the updates from Ford at the same time. I agree that there are plenty of examples of people saying...- mbagne

I agree that allocations are a bit of a wild card . . . hard to understand how they are affecting everything. But I believe my theory still stands, think about it . . . this is still an allocation into OP's dealer. The dealer was allocated the build for a different customer who dropped out...- mbagne

Is this normal?
But don't you think there are 1,000's of soft top reservations/orders placed throughout 2021 before OP ordered in mid-October? All of those thousand's of orders need to still be filled, so again, seems unlikely a mid-October order would have a VIN, already going into production. Also again OP...- mbagne

Is this normal?
The dealer is artificially putting someone else's VIN to your order because that person abandoned their order, you see, it has nothing to do with Ford assigning a VIN to your order. As far as Ford is concerned your order doesn't officially have VIN yet, but the dealer is free to sell the...- mbagne

Is this normal?
So wait a minute . . . how do you know that your dealer isn't just taking someone else's build that is like yours but was abandoned, so the dealer is just telling you that it's on the way and assigned you the VIN? I doubt very much that if you placed an order in mid-October, behind 90,000 other...- mbagne

Back Order Question
You need to look at the numbers differently based on your build. For instance, if you are keeping MIC on your order, please know that they are not making 6,800 MIC tops per week, it is somewhat less. This means the majority of Broncos built at this time will be soft tops while MIC's will be...- mbagne

Or, sorry, not sarcastic at all. I read your message as primarily being about teaching children properly (rearing them) in a way that would avoid the subject problem. I think we basically agree here. And . . . if you are looking for limited government, I think that horse has already left the...- mbagne

You are totally right on this. If a child or teenager attains a gun outside the purview of an adult, who's fault is that? Adults (and it's usually the parents) have 100% of the responsibility to secure firearms and ensure kids CANNOT get their hands on them. I think the problem that we all...- mbagne

In-Vehicle Safe
Yes, that is what I said, the Bronco safe would not be a problem for TRANSPORTING a firearm, say to and from a shooting range, but STORAGE is another issue. It might sound like a nuance or nit-picky, but in CA if you combine firearms and vehicles you do so at your own peril. Especially in...- mbagne

Well, here's from the CA regulation for firearm storage: The lock shall be protected by a case hardened (Rc 60+) drill resistant steel plate, or drill resistant material of equivalent strength. Boltwork shall consist of a minimum of three steel locking bolts of at least 1/2-inch thickness that...- mbagne

How flunky is the actual lock? I wouldn't' store firearms in that safe, especially here in CA where there are regulatory standards for gun safes. Make sure you check your state's laws regarding firearm storage.- mbagne
