How I fixed the popping noise on my MIC hard top

I just lubed the pins with a minimal amount of vaseline. Silence. Free. Didn't even have to pull the tops all the way off, just lifted them enough to expose the pins. Now I hear everything else. :D:oops::ROFLMAO::D

What did you do to your Bronco today?

Same here. I THOUGHT I saw a shipping notice right after I ordered them .... need to go back and check my various notices. I went with the Blue Camo to accent the AMB. Same build up issues on the 2dr. The leading edge of the rear flare will build up and over the corner of the door. Plus ALL...

    badlands with 33s. Bad choice?

A lot of excellent replys here. Badlands on 33's will be formidable. Great point as mentioned by @Bluemach1 , many Squatches are on other models that would not have the lockers and heavier duty front axle. I'm no offroading expert, it's been many years, but I have always advised those who ask...

    The Base Bronco Thread

My wheels, tires, TPMS's, centering rings, mounting & balance ... I think I'm at $3600. I wanted to keep my factory 30" sensored up in case I want to switch tires around, like winter tires or hard core mudders on the 16's ... something like that. $3k was the goal, but the first tires available...

2.3 manual noise when engine is cold

The cold start up noises I refer to are usually engine, fan and/or exhaust related. Those with belt driven fans tend to be really noisy at first until the fans fluid clutch disengages. The modern ECM also raises the engine RPM's and changes the timing in order to get the engine and catalytic...

worst part is, I'd probably have ordered the seller vehicle with more shit on it than my own ... just to cash out even easier. Like Squatch or something LOL

    The Base Bronco Thread

Hey, I like the steelies also, but their width severely limits tire size selection. Any thing over 285 in width may cause issues with tire wear, bead loss, etc etc. I thnk 255/85-16 might be the tallest size at 33.1" , but that is still a bit narrow in my book. 285/75-16 is a pretty popular size...

2.3 manual noise when engine is cold

Clutch/tranny has been dead silent no matter what. Been in neg. degrees over night etc etc . Motor has, what i come to think of as normal, COLD start up noises for a modern engine. The throw out bearing sounds like a likely culprit. Not a big issue. Drive it, it wont hurt anything in the short...

What did you do to your Bronco today?

I hand washed it for the first time since the Methods and 35's were installed! Been about 3 weeks of crappy weather.

    Two or Four Door?

I have one German Shepherd, on the small side, 80lbs .... I have a tough time fitting him and enough gear for a weekend at the cabin in the 2dr with the seats down. hint, "at the cabin" means no tent required. small cooler, standard duffel bag, sleeping bag, small rubbermaid tote for dry goods...

    Right place, right time!

I don't bother with 6th until I'm 70+ .... I feel it just runs better, stays out of boost longer ... I feel it gets better MPG that way. I cruise at 68 in 55 zones , 5th is like 2500rpm, which is where the motor seems really happy.
