An Update on Flat Towing a Bronco

Curt Mfg also has adapters for there tow bar but the Roadmaster adapters are by far the least expense if you have a roadmaster tow bar. https://www.curtmfg.com/part/70140

An Update on Flat Towing a Bronco

Most of the people I know including myself are connecting directly to the front shackle brackets. Have about 5K miles on mine so far. I have a Blue Ox tow bar with the the Blue Ox BX88357 Off Road Adapter - 7/8" Diameter which I had to open up a bit for clearance. There are a couple of...

Flat tow not possible on 2.7 liter

Have also been working on this issue since early December, just cannot get anyone at the dealership or Ford take me serious. If you are towing a 2.7 V6 Bronco and you set the toad brakes not to lockup when you start off they will go away 15 to 30 minutes after you close the doors. Bigger...

An Update on Flat Towing a Bronco

No one is listing for the capable bumper yet. Give Blue Ox and Road Master a call. The base plate for the standard bumper may work, just a guess.

An Update on Flat Towing a Bronco

OK here is my 2 cents, trailers would be great for destination hauling the Bronco, hunting trips, to the mountains or beach for the summer or winter. For travel with lots of 1,2 and 3 day stops I prefer towing.

An Update on Flat Towing a Bronco

Depending what your safety chai I assume you have a modular bumper. A lot of people are connecting to the bottom cut out below where you connect the tow bar. I removed the enter bolt on the front crash bar and put a eye bolt in it place...

Best way to tow any Bronco behind an RV?

Yes but the front part is also turning. I don't know maybe less oil agitation and less heat when they are turning together. Also depending which transfer case you have there are some clutches involved.

Best way to tow any Bronco behind an RV?

My best guess is both. When towing with a dolly the rear part of the transfer is turning and the front part is not. Also there all kinds of sensors monitoring wheel rotation and it may not like the rear turning and the front not.

I was at Austin 4-FEB-22 two days after the ice and sleet. One great experience, learned lots of things about the Bronco and off road driving techniques. Was a little cool well really cold. The fording pond had 2 inch of ice on it, Bronco ice breaker!! There was still some sleet on the...
