Hi Bronco Nation,

Just getting around to sharing our experience at the Moab Off-Roadeo this last month.

In a word, spectacular! If you're on the fence: don't miss this opportunity to get to know your Bronco with experienced guides, in a stunning setting with cool people from across the country.

We approached Off-Roadeo as relative newbies, having recently bought a '23 Wildtrak with Sasquatch package. The previous owner hadn't punched their Off-Roadeo ticket and we eagerly did. My wife and I had limited time and decided on Moab as a spot we'd never visited.

To get it out of the way: Moab is stunning. This corner of the world will take your breath away. The opportunity to combine it with a hobby put a great experience over the top. We left some extra time to check out Arches National Park & some nearby sights. Can't wait to make it back.

We stayed at the Red Cliffs Lodge in one of the river-side cabins. It was nicely appointed and more than adequate. The Off-Roadeo arrival, departure, briefings, etc. are all on-site which were very convenient. We were happy not to pick up stakes after a long day on the trail. I'd be anxious to revisit after renovations complete, expected this summer. In the meantime, expect amenities to be a bit slimmer. You'll be about :30 minutes from town - a good idea to grab some snacks, sundries, a beer (no alcohol sales on sight) before arriving.

Off-roadeo day began with a briefing and orientation. The briefing was the right amount of information and length, largely focused on fundamentals and logistics. Next, we broke up and set off for the trails - about a 20 minute drive aways. There were about 30-40 riders/drivers overall, who ultimately became three trail groups with 5-6 Broncos each.

Our guide, Tim, was fantastic. In addition to obvious personal off-road passion, he brought decades of experience including roles at Land Rover & Ineos. Despite this, he was very adept at modulating curriculum for different skill levels. In our case, that started basic, and I watched him 'push' us harder throughout the day. I left feeling immensely more confident as a driver, and in my Bronco's abilities.

Tim was intimately familiar with all of the Bronco's features, modes and controls. He also consistently put us in situations where we needed to use them. 'Wow' moments included some tenuous hill climbs and descents, darting across the plains in 'Baja' mode, and some angles I never expected to see without airbags. Tim was a fountain of practical knowledge with the rare ability to deliver it in a present, meaningful way. Not to mention in 115 degree sun!

After a long day of trail rides including stops at some geologic wonders and mining ruins, we meandered back to base camp for a meal and a chance to relive the day. It was a top-notch experience.

It remains to be seen how soon we'll get to off-road again. There aren't a lot of opportunities near where we live. But I can say we left anxious to try, and 'hooked' on our Bronco. We've probably helped Ford sell a few more in chats with friends. Hopefully that's enough for them to keep this program going!

Hope to see you out on the trails - some highlights from our trip here:

So glad you got to experience Moab and Offrodeo. Blake has done an amazing job giving Bronco owners the very best experience… Red Cliffs Lodge is amazing, and the views are as you say… Spectacular.

Having done Moab, we are thinking of reserving a spot in Tennessee for 2026…
Thanks for sharing!

Thx for sharing the video. In my 34-year career at Ford engineering, I was afforded the opportunity to do significant off-roading during vehicle development and test track events. Most folks never even get 50 miles away from home...

The only bad thing about doing Moab Off-Roadeo is that no matter how much time you take for that trip it will not be long enough. we did the Texas off- roadeo since it was only an hour from my house. but we visited Moab last July and spent a little over a week there, because we didn't get to see it all we took another trip this past April spent another week there. Still have not seen it all. already planning our next trip. Moab and Utah will get you hooked, even if you are just doing easy trails like Long canyon or Potash to Shaffer, you are getting to see something the majority of folks will never see.
